Day 1
Arrival – Marrakech
Fly from your local UK airport to Marrakech. Check in to your hotel and enjoy your the afternoon at leisure. Why not stay in a Riad and enjoy some time in the pool, or depending on the hotel, massages may be available. This evening, why not dine at Comptoir Darna? This restaurant offers traditional Moroccan cuisine of high quality along with original and inspired “World Cuisine” dishes.
Day 2
Marrakech Sightseeing
After breakfast you will enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Marrakech. Visit the dramatic Almohad Koutoubia Minaret, Saadian Tombs, El Bahia Palace and Ben Youssed Medersa, which functioned as a boarding school. Enjoy lunch at Dar Moha, a restaurant situated in a splendid turn-of-the-century riad, which was once owned by famous couturier Pierre Balmain. After lunch, you will wander the labyrinth of souks and watch how the wonderful Djemaa El Fna comes alive with storytellers, acrobats and musicians, snake charmers and fortune tellers. This remarkable square in the heart of the city becomes a huge open air restaurant in the evening as drummers, dancers and comedians provide entertainment for diners. In the evening, you will be transferred to the Lotus Club for dinner and a show. Colours, lights and music – this captivating show does not leave a moment’s respite, each artist out-sparkling the previous one.
Day 3
Mountain Adventure
After breakfast you will be transferred to the Atlas Mountains, for a 4×4 adventure. You will explore the rural hills and valleys surrounding Marrakech, arriving at the foot of the mighty Mount Toubkal. Change from 4 wheels to 4 legs and ride mules to the Kasbah du Toubkal, where you will have lunch. In the afternoon you will visit the villages of the AÏt Meziane Valley before returning to the hotel. In the evening, you will be transferred to Dar Yacout for your final dinner. The restaurant offers breathtaking panoramic view from the terrace overlooking the medina and the Koutoubia Mosque of Marrakech.
Day 4
Departure
Following breakfast, you have the chance to visit the beautiful Majorelle Gardens. These gardens feature over 300 plant species from five different continents. Yves Saint Laurent and his partner Pierre Bergé bought the electric blue villa and its garden to preserve the vision of its original owner, landscape painter Jacques Majorelle. Afterwards you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
