“Sushi is a type of food preparation originating in Japan, consisting of cooked vinegared rice combined with other ingredients such as raw seafood, vegetables and sometimes tropical fruits. Ingredients and forms of sushi presentation vary widely, but the ingredient which all sushi have in common is rice. Although commonly mistaken for sushi, sashimi which is also a Japanese delicacy, consists of thinly sliced raw fish and may or may not be served with rice.”
Greatdays is pleased to now offer you the chance to learn more about this delicacy, with a limited season of dates in Central London, where you can experience the Grange Hotel’s Sushi making masterclass as part of your luxury weekend in the city.
Enjoy a 45 minute session led by their talented sushi chefs who will demonstrate the fine art of producing traditional Japanese cuisine. Koto II restaurant are inviting you to get top tips and advice on sushi and sashimi dishes whilst also giving you the opportunity to re-create your very own dish.

Suggested itinerary
Day 1 Sunday
Travel to London, sushi making class and hotel dinner.
Arrive in London in the afternoon and check into your hotel, the Grange City Hotel.
You will enjoy a Sushi making demonstration in the hotel from one of their talented sushi chefs, which will last approximately 45 minutes.
Please note that the group may be split into smaller groups for a better experience.
You will take dinner in the hotel this evening, which will be a three course set buffet menu.
The rest of the evening is at your leisure, take in the glow of the West End lights, or maybe a drink in St Katharine Docks which is within easy walking – the choice is yours.
Day 2 Monday
Breakfast in hotel, day at leisure.
This morning you will have a full English buffet breakfast served in the hotel’s restaurant, then you have the morning at your leisure.
The Tower of London and River Thames are just a short distance from the hotel – maybe a morning visit to see the crown Jewels or a leisurely cruise on the Thames to Greenwich?
